Post four: The city of Toulouse. The 4th largest city in France, Toulouse is known as “La Ville Rose” or “The Pink City” because of all the red brick buildings it boasts. It’s located in the southwest of France, on the Garonne River, and it’s half way between the Med. and Atlantic Oceans. Toulouse has a temperate climate, meaning its a bit warmer than PA in the winter (about 50 F, i’m very happy about that! ) and has similar temps in the summer. It is also known for it’s home to Airbus and other Aerospace indutries (my host dad works for one of these companies), making it a very high tech city. Toulouse is the home to one of the finest universities in France and is a big college town. Not only that, it also has one of the best Rugby teams! It’s one of the most beautiful cities in France & I can’t wait to explore it and see what it has to offer!
